A 60-year-old Chinese man was rushed to a hospital after getting his penis stuck in tiny metal ring.
The way the Daily Mail writes this story is pretty funny. It's filled with all kinds of interesting language:
"The pensioner, who Chinese media claimed suffered a thought disorder, admitted that he had mischievously put the ring on the penis at home on March 26."
Who talks like that?
Anyway, doctors and firefighters came together to use an industrial grinding machine to remove the ring.
The man, who is reported to have a mental illness that causes "illogical thoughts," was too embarrassed to tell his family about the mishap and kept the ring on overnight.
But his penis became so swollen that he was unable urinate, and the next day his family took him to the hospital.
A surgeon explained that the penis was so swollen and purple due to blood loss, that they almost had to remove it completely:
"If the penis continues to swell and not have the ring removed in time, the surrounded cells and tissues would die. Then he would have his penis amputated."
Firefighters removed the ring with an industrial grinder while doctors cooled off the area with water at the same time.
It was quite a delicate operation. But after an hour, doctors were ultimately successful and the man's penis is free.
