The stand-up restaurant is in town for two days to promote the return of Better Call Saul, AMC’s prequel to the Emmy-awarding winning Breaking Bad series. Los Pollos Hermanos already made an appearance in Austin, Texas for SXSW, and much to the surprise, and likely disappointment of fans of the shows, the restaurant only served fries, water bottles, and dipping sauces. However, stars of the shows, Bob Odenkirk and Giancarlo Esposito, made appearances at the pop-up, which probably made up for the lack of chicken.
The infamous restaurant is reference to the fast-food chain featured run by the infamous Gustavo Fring in the “Breaking Bad” television series. It serves as a facade to mask the largest meth factory in Albuquerque, which Bryan Cranston’s character gets tangled up in.
If you want to make the trip to Gustavo Fring’s infamous restaurant, it’s open for two days this week: Wednesday, March 29 and Thursday, March 30 from noon to 6 p.m. The third season of “Better Call Saul” premieres April 10 on AMC. You can catch up with the first and second seasons on Netflix.
