Southern California is “Superblooming'

It looks like the cold winter is going to be worth it after all!

Southern California is blooming with different types of flowers after all that rain we got in January and February. Thousands of people are expected to travel to Anza-Borrego Desert State Park this weekend to check out the colorful displays. The sudden bursts of color are being dubbed a “superbloom” and visitors will be able to check out poppies, lilies, monkeyflowers, and other beautiful wildflowers.

The San Diego County Sheriff’s Department is telling prospective visitors to expect hours of traffic leading into the state park. It’s also encouraging people making the trip to stock up on water, snacks, and gas.
