A good Samaritan saved the lives of two women when their car flipped over and burst into flames in Cerritos.
Danny Mitchell was driving westbound on the 91 Freeway when he saw the car begin to merge into the next lane.
The California Highway Patrol said for some unknown reason, the driver then suddenly over-corrected itself and lost control of the vehicle.
The car hit the embankment, flipped over a few times then began to catch fire.
As Mitchell witnessed the accident, he knew he had to rush in and help.
"I just pulled over and snatched the girls out the car before it exploded because it was on fire."
The two women were treated for minor injuries by emergency crews and the CHP says that if it hadn't been for Mitchell's selfless act the women may have died.
