Oklahoma senator and former state chairman for the Trump campaign Ralph Shortey was found in a hotel with an underage boy.
Lieutenant Kyle Dudley says police were called to do a standard welfare check at a local hotel.
“Responding officers found a juvenile male in a hotel room which was also occupied by an adult male. The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation and no additional information can be released at this time.”
Shortey wasn't arrested and so far no charges have been brought forward but the police are investigating the situation and text messages exchanged between the boy and the senator.
The state Senate in Oklahoma has voted to strip Shortey of some of his privileges including his office, parking space and his government issued computer.
However, he still has the ability to vote and collect his paychecks.
