A man from Glendale faces a murder charge -- for allegedly causing a fatal car crash in December by stabbing the driver of a minivan during a roadside argument.
The minivan driver then sped away, bleeding, and wrecked on a sidewalk near Olive Avenue and San Fernando Blvd,. killing a man walking nearby.
The initial stabbing attack happened on on Palm Avenue around 5:30 p.m. on December 9.
Police said Wednesday it appears it was the result of a road rage incident, and it was recorded on security video from a business nearby.
"Detectives from the Burbank Police Department have since identified the suspect as Haroution Stepanyan," Sgt. Derek Green told reporters.
Stepanyan, 24, was arrested this week and was being held on $3-million bail.
"The victim to the stabbing underwent emergency surgery and survived the attack," Green said.
The pedestrian killed was a 52-year-old resident of Burbank named Rodolfo Tan.
