Illegal immigrant who killed woman in North Hills crash had been deported 5 times

Here's another sick story from the backwards land of California.  An illegal immigrant responsible for killing a woman last month had deported 5 times, police said.

45-year-old Estuardo Alvarado slammed into the back of Sandra Duran's car in North Hills on February 19th.

Alvarado was driving in the pouring rain when he sped past traffic and crashed into a parked car.  Police said he then crashed into Sandra Duran while he was trying to escape the scene of the first crash.

She died at the scene of blunt force trauma.

Federal authorities have learned that Alvarado is an illegal immigrant with a long rap sheet, including his deportations.

He was first deported in 1998, and since 1990 he's been charged with more than 20 felonies and misdemeanors.

Some of his crimes include being a felon in possession of a weapon and the sale or transport of a controlled substance.

He was convicted and has pleaded guilty to several charges over the years, including DUI, possession of marijuana for sale, and misdemeanor hit-and-run.

Why was he not deported after his first offense?!

ICE wants to take action against Alvarado:

“U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer against Mr. Alvarado seeking to take him into custody if and when he is released by local authorities in order to pursue follow-up enforcement action."

Alvarado is now at the Men's Central Jail on $2.18 million bail, with his next hearing set for March 14th.

Where's Kevin de León?  Why isn't he out helping the victim's family?  Instead he's fighting for people like this scumbag Estuardo Alvarado.  A man who had no right being here and killed an innocent woman.

Absolutely disgusting.
