The Irvine girl who was severely injured after a tree fell on her during a rainstorm is showing signs of recovery.
Fourteen-year-old Teresa Johnston underwent brain surgery and was placed in a medically induced coma.
Her sister Misha says Teresa opened her eyes and can slightly move her hands, arms and legs.
She was able to celebrate her 14th birthday this week with her family and is able to recognize them.
The family has created a YouCaring page to raise money for Teresa's treatment.
