1.6 million visa overstayers were ignored under Obama

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says that from 2013 to 2015 more than 1.6 million foreign visitors were flagged for overstaying their visas.

Deporting them was not high up on Obama's list of priorities, apparently.

The agency concluded that it would be too expensive to go after the overstays, so instead ICE put its focus on illegals who crossed the border and who amassed serious criminal records.

Overstays are becoming more and more of a problem, as many enter the U.S. with legal passes, but then refuse to leave when their time is up.

An estimated 40% of illegal immigrants each year arrived legally but overstayed.

It's not just the illegal border crossers Trump needs to stop, he also needs to end this dismissal of visa overstayers!

Apprehensions of people crossing the border indicate the flow of migrants trying to get through.  The more people caught, the more people are thought be getting through.

Apprehensions have dropped by 27 percent on a month-to-month basis, but more people will try to get through again in the spring.

The people overstaying their visas need to be deported just like the illegals busted crossing the border. They don't have the right to come here on their own terms, claim "sanctuary," and expect to be a citizen just like that.

Hopefully this issue is high on Trump's priority list.
