Young drivers will be in Pomona this weekend learning about "BRAKES" or Being Responsible & Keeping Everyone Safe

Parents are bringing their teens to a program in Pomona where they can learn about "B.R.A.K.E.S." or Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe.

After his two boys were killed in a car accident in 2008, Doug Herbert said his life changed, and that he decided to do something about helping teens learn more about safe driving.

Enter B.R.A.K.E.S.. The program puts teens through five different courses, including a skid avoidance and 'distracted driving' course.

Herbert says the teens gain experience in cars with special wheels that can simulate what it's like to drive during slick road conditions.

Kids and parents both can take the course.
