Hollywood Bowl releases summer season lineup

The Hollywood Bowl has released its full schedule of concerts and performances for the 2017 summer season which begins in June and ends in September.

A few of the performances will include the July 4th Fireworks Spectacular with Pentatonix and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra. Gustavo Dudamel will conduct a total of nine concerts at the Bowl during the upcoming summer season, including Beethoven’s Ninth and Stars Ballet.

‘Film with orchestra’ movie screenings will include, “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” and “Singin’ in the Rain,” where a live orchestra will accompany the movies.

Blondie, Tony Bennett and Sky Ferreira are some of the artists who are set to perform at the Hollywood Bowl for spectacular summer concerts.

Musicals such as “Mama Mia” and the annual sing-a-long “Sound of Music” have landed on the list. The cast for “Mama Mia” has not been announced yet.

“Jazz at the Bowl” will pay tribute to Ella Fitzgerald and Dizzy Gillepsie and also include “Quincy Jones: The A&M Years” and "Herbie Hancock and Kamasi Washington.”
