The LA Times and Eric Garcetti are total suckers for the climate change religion. We're soaking in rain, but right now all they care about is the hot weather which will inevitably come back because that's what you get when you live in California.
It's supposed to get hot here.
According to the alarm-ringing Times, 2016 was the hottest year on record. And in L.A., they say temperature trends "were shattered last summer during scorching heat waves that saw highs of 100 degrees for five days straight."
This has Mayor Snowflake melting, so he's decided we're going to lower the city's temperature by 3 degrees over the next 20 years.
That's seriously what he's devoting his time and energy to?! And even if the temperature was lowered by 3 degrees, no one would feel the difference!
Check out what the knob slobberers at the Times wrote about Garcetti's plan:
"It’s a noble goal. Not only will it make you more comfortable, it will reduce energy consumption and improve air quality. It may even save lives — extreme heat kills more people each year than hurricanes, floods or tornadoes."
What does all of this mean for you ultimately? It means we'll have more scolding from our leaders about how we're supposed to take 2 minute showers, set our AC to 80 degrees, and and have brown lawns.
It's a bunch of crap. Don't fall for it.
