Authorities in Los Angeles County say two people including a student are critically injured and nine other students sustained minor injuries in the crash of a school bus full of kids and a car in Lancaster.
County Fire Department Inspector Richard Licon says the driver of the car and a student from the bus are hospitalized in critical condition Tuesday.
Licon says nine other students were transported to hospitals for treatment of minor injuries. Licon didn't know how many kids total were on the bus, which he says serves Antelope Valley Union High School District.
The California Highway Patrol says the collision was reported shortly after 7:15 a.m. at an intersection on the east side of the desert city north of Los Angeles.
A utility pole was toppled in the crash.
