There's usually no crying in football but Tom Brady was caught off-guard by a 7-year-old's question. The child reporter told Brady that he was a hero to a lot of people but asked who Brady's hero was. The famous QB immediately got emotional and answered that his dad was his hero.
Brady would not go into detail in another interview but he alluded to having some a tough year due to private family issues which clearly affected him during the Super Bowl press conferences. These issues probably added to the emotion of talking about his dad.
"My mom hasn't been to a game this season. My dad has been to one. That's very atypical," Brady said to ESPN news . "They're going to be here this weekend, that's what I'm excited about."
