'Why Time Flies' Author Alan Burdick joins Wake Up Call

Why does time fly when you're having fun? Author Alan Burdick joined Aron Bender and Amy King this morning on Wake Up Call to tell us why.

Burdick is a National Book Award finalist and staff writer at The New Yorker who takes a (mostly scientific) look into the phenomenon of time. Why does it seem to fly when we're having fun? Why does it drag when we're bored out of our minds? And what exactly does 'killing time' mean? Can we go to jail for that?

In Alan's book, he takes a closer look at the physical and mathematical essence of time, and how we all sense it differently. From visiting the most accurate clock in the world to jumping from a 100-foot tower as part of a neuroscientist's experiment, Burdick's book attempt to help us understand the mysterious phenomenon of time.
