Family Says Woman Killed by Fallen Tree Feared the Oak for Months

A 35-year old woman who died after a large oak tree fell onto her Ukiah home had feared the tree for months according to her family the AP reports.

Erika Tyler was killed on Saturday after a massive tree fell onto her house. Tyler's boyfriend was sleeping next to her, but was able to escape with his 3-year-old son.

Connie Tyler, Erika's mother told the Santa Rosa Press Democrat that her daughter had told her landlord about the tree, and asked to have it removed. The landlord refused, saying it was too expensive.

Erika Renee Tyler passed away early Saturday morning in a tragic, freak accident, while her and her family were sleeping in their home. She was a mother of two boys, a daughter, a friend, and loved by many. Erika lived to make others smile.

Her two sons, 17 and 11 are devastated by the sudden and tragic loss of their mother. Erika was a dedicated and loving mother that always wanted the best for her boys. She gave them unconditional love, and every ounce of her being, even when she was struggling herself. They were her life!

Erika's boys have lost everything; Their home, their belongings, and most importantly... their Mother. If you're able to help this family it is upmost appreciated. If you can't help monetarily, it's ok, your shares and prayers are greatly appreciated as well.

Remember to hug your loved ones because you never know when it will be the last time.
