Meet the app that has your pet's safety in mind during major emergencies!
Evac-U-Pet is an app that was developed by two women who were caught up in the 2016 Sand Fire and were trying to help evacuate animals partly using social media, but were frustrated and thought there had to be a better way.
The women, Morgan Walston and Amanda Baudo, decided to create Evac-U-Pet.
The iPhone and Android compatible app is designed to help pet owners get their animals out to safety, become volunteers to transport other's pets or house those who got out.
Owners can track their pets' locations from the app and they can also add any important information that would be needed to take care of the animals like dietary restrictions and medications.
Right now, the app is only available for Los Angeles County residents, but there are plans to expand in the future.
