Man Arrested for Naked Yoga at Planet Fitness

(Eric Stagno: Plaistow Police)

A man in Plaistow, Massachusetts was under the impression that Planet Fitness' philosophy of being a "Judgement Free Zone" meant he could really do whatever he wanted. Well, there are still rules and laws and being nude in public is definitely breaking one of them.

According to police, Eric Stagno, 34,  was walking around naked at the gym before he placed himself on the yoga mats. When officers arrived at the gym, they found Stagno naked on his knees in a yoga position.

Stagno was arrested and charged with indecent exposure/lewdness and disorderly conduct.

“The only statement that he made was that he thought it was a ‘judgment free zone’ – apparently referencing the chain’s slogan,” police Capt. Brett Morgan told WBZ-TV.

Morgan also said that gym-goers who saw Stagno’s naked exercises reported feeling “disgusted,” “sick” and “unsafe."

Stagno was released on $1,000 bail and is due in court on Sept. 21, hopefully with clothes on.
