LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Force clearly wasn't with the guy who smashed the windows of a police car on Hollywood Boulevard as Darth Vader looked on.
While the "Star Wars" villain — or at least a guy in a Vader suit — watched impassively as the car was trashed Tuesday, Los Angeles police officers sprang into action.
They rushed to the vehicle and quickly handcuffed its attacker as tourists filmed the incident.
By the time the man was subdued, he'd already broken most of the vehicle's windows.
The bar-wielding attacker, whose name was not released, was arrested for investigation of felony vandalism.
Officer Bruce Borihanh says the man didn't tell police why he targeted the car.
Or why he did it in front of Vader, Superman and other costumed Hollywood heroes and villains.
