Rudy Giuliani, Mark Meadows Among 18 Indicted In Arizona Fake Elector Plot

grand jury in Arizona indicted 18 people allegedly involved in a plot to submit fake electors in support of former President Donald Trump following his loss in the state in the 2020 presidential election.

Eleven of those indicted were Arizona Republicans who signed the fake elector cards. They were each charged with nine counts, including fraud, forgery, and conspiracy.

While the names of the other seven people indicted were redacted, their identities were easily determined based on descriptions in court documents. According to ABC Newsthey include Rudy GiulianiMark Meadows, Boris EpshteynJohn EastmanChristina BobbJenna Ellis, and Mike Roman.

"We're here because justice demands an answer to the efforts of the defendants and other unindicted co-conspirators allegedly took to undermine the will of Arizona's voters during the 2020 presidential election," Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes said.

"Arizona's election was free and fair. The people of Arizona elected President Biden. Unwilling to accept this fact, the defendants charged by the state grand jury allegedly schemed to prevent the lawful transfer of the presidency," she continued.
