A recent study shows the caffeine in coffee helps us resist pressure to act unethically at work.

The researchers say it's because being tired and fatigued makes it easier to go along with unethical suggestions from the boss... because resistance takes effort.

Participants in the study pulled an all-nighter and then chewed either a piece of regular gum, or gum laced with the amount of caffeine equivalent to two cups of coffee.

They were then given the opportunity to play along with a lie to earn money.

The caffeinated group was less likely to take the bait.
