Average LA, Orange County Gas Prices Drop

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Thursday a half-cent to $4.62, a day after dropping two-tenths of a cent.

The average price is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 15.9 cents less than one month ago and 49 cents less than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.874 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped nine-tenths of a cent to $4.547, a day after dropping seven-tenths of a cent.

It is four-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 13.1 cents less than one month ago and 49.8 cents less than one year ago. It has dropped $1.912 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price decreased nine-tenths of a cent to $3.483, a day after dropping seven-tenths of a cent.

It is 3.8 cents less than one week ago, eight-tenths of a cent less than one month ago, and 29.7 cents less than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.533 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
