ISM Brewing & Kitchen is an award-winning, modern brewpub located on the Promenade between Broadway and 3rd St. Opened in December 2023, by Ian McCall, formerly of Riip Beer Co and Beachwood Brewing, ISM focuses on skillfully crafted ales and lagers. ISM was built with the Long Beach community in mind and strives to be an inclusive, welcoming, and fun gathering place for locals of all ages. The kitchen at ISM is helmed by Chef Fonzy De Zuniga, formerly of Descanso in Costa Mesa. His expertise and creativity can be found in every dish, from his delicious take on carne asada-loaded fries to the playful way he showcases the humble taco. The brewery is run under the watchful eye and deft hand of Head Brewer, Gene Wagoner.
Within the first few months of opening our doors, ISM garnered worldwide attention by winning three medals at the World Beer Cup:
- GOLD - Western Standard Time - West Coast IPA (I will bring cans of this)
- GOLD - Calf Fiend - Coffee Brown Ale
- BRONZE - Plough & Harrow - Classic Saison
