Two Men Charged in Fullerton Shooting

FULLERTON (CNS) - A convicted felon and another man have been charged in connection with a shooting in Fullerton that wounded a man, according to court records obtained Wednesday.

Alexander Fuentes, 19, was charged Tuesday with attempted murder, possession of a gun by a felon and illegally owning ammunition, all felonies. Fuentes pleaded guilty Feb. 26 to a felony count of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury for an incident April 19 of last year, according to court records.

Fuentes also faces sentencing enhancements for the personal use of a deadly weapon, inflicting great bodily injury on the victim, being armed with a gun in the commission of a felony, personal use of a gun, shooting a gun and shooting a gun causing great bodily injury, authorities said.

Co-defendant Lexi Larson, 19, of Riverside, was charged with a felony count of being an accessory after the fact, according to court records.

Officers were dispatched at 3:41 p.m. Friday to the shooting in the 3900 block of West Valencia Drive, according to the Fullerton Police Department. Further details were not immediately available.

Fuentes was scheduled to be arraigned June 21 in the North Justice Center in Fullerton. Larson was scheduled to be arraigned July 16.
