Little Change to LA, Orange County Gas Prices

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County remained unchanged Monday at $5.082 -- its second highest average on Memorial Day behind 2022's $6.162.

The average price had decreased for the previous 20 days and the 29 times in the last 30 days. It is 8.8 cents less than one week ago and 28.6 cents less than one month ago, but 17.5 cents more than one year ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. It has dropped $1.412 since rising to a record $6.494 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The Orange County average price dropped three-tenths of a cent to $4.986, its second highest average on Memorial Day after 2022's $6.143. It has decreased 31 times in the last 32 days and is 9.2 cents less than one week ago, 30.5 cents less than one month ago, and 9.7 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.473 since rising to a record $6.459 on Oct. 5, 2022.

The national average price dropped one-tenth of a cent to $3.592. It is two-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 6.7 cents less than one month ago, and 1.3 cents more than one year ago. The national average price has dropped $1.424 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
