Wild Video Captures Queens Couple Turning Tables on Attacker

In a dramatic turn of events captured on surveillance video, a man attempting to assault a couple in Queens ended up hospitalized with multiple stab wounds. The intense confrontation unfolded around 2:45p.m. near 49th and Broadway in Woodside, according to NYPD reports.

The video shows the 37-year-old attacker trailing the couple, who were walking with their dog. As they approached the intersection, the man discarded his coat and launched a surprise attack on the other man, who was riding a scooter due to a foot injury.

Despite the initial shock, the couple quickly defended themselves. The man in the medical boot managed to overpower the attacker, placing him in a headlock and throwing him to the ground. The woman joined in, and together they delivered a series of blows to their assailant.

The altercation escalated as the couple dragged their dog along while continuing to hit and kick the attacker. The video captures the intensity of the fight, with bystanders initially appearing unbothered by the commotion.

Eventually, the trio separated but continued to exchange heated words, ready to re-engage. The attacker, visibly wounded with a bloody gash on his head, backed away towards the security camera. It was at this point that bystanders intervened, stepping between the couple and the attacker.

The attacker was later taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was treated for multiple stab wounds and is reported to be in stable condition. No arrests have been made, but police are actively searching for the couple involved in the incident.

This incident highlights the unpredictable nature of street confrontations and the sometimes extreme measures individuals may take to defend themselves. As the NYPD continues its investigation, the video serves as a stark reminder of the realities of urban life and personal safety.
