Pedestrian Killed on Harbor Freeway Near Downtown Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - A 30-year-old unhoused pedestrian who was struck and killed on the Harbor (110) Freeway in downtown Los Angeles was identified by county authorities Saturday.

Kevyn Moises Diaz was identified as the victim by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner's office. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

California Highway Patrol officers were called at 2:01 a.m. Thursday to the southbound freeway and the South Vernon Avenue exist were they found the pedestrian lying in the slow lane, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.

The CHP closed all lanes of the southbound freeway while they conducted an investigation of the crash.
