18 Drivers Cited During Pomona DUI/License Checkpoint

POMONA (CNS) - Pomona police cited 18 motorists for driving with a suspended or revoked license or without a valid driver's license during a driving under the influence and license check operation Saturday in Pomona.

At the checkpoint, 616 drivers were screened during the operation and six vehicles were towed, according to the Pomona Police Department's Traffic Services Bureau.

The checkpoint was held at Reservoir and Olive streets from 9 p.m. Friday until 2 a.m. Saturday, police said.

Police officials said in 2022, it investigated 95 DUI collisions that resulted in two deaths and 38 injured people.
