SANTA ANA (CNS) - A 54-year-old man was sentenced Friday to 145 years to life in prison Friday for sexually assaulting two sisters in Lake Forest while he was renting a room with the family.
Yuri Abdel Villatoro was convicted Aug. 30 of four counts of lewd or lascivious acts on a minor younger than 14 and three counts of oral copulation or sexual penetration with a child 10 years or younger, all felonies. Villatoro was given credit for 2,129 days behind bars awaiting trial.
The parents of the victims called police on Dec. 6, 2018, about the assaults which happened between 2011 and 2016, prosecutors said in court papers. Villatoro lived with the family as a roommate between 2011 and 2014 and would continue to visit occasionally after that.
One girl said the abuse started when she was 6 years old in front of her 4-year-old brother, prosecutors said. The abuse continued through the fifth grade.
The other victim said she was first assaulted when she was in first grade, prosecutors said.
