The Biden Administration remains steadfast in its backing of the decision to bar particular editions of Apple Watches. This prohibition, put into effect by the U.S. International Trade Commission, arises from a patent dispute concerning the blood oxygen monitoring functionality embedded within these gadgets.

Following a thorough review, the commission found that Apple had encroached upon the proprietary technology owned by Masimo, a medical technology company, particularly in the domain of monitoring blood oxygen levels. Consequently, the ITC's determination was that Apple had illicitly employed Masimo's technology.

Reacting to these unfolding events, Apple issued a statement on Tuesday:

"We strongly disagree with the USITC decision and resulting exclusion order, and are taking all measures to return Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 to customers in the U.S. as soon as possible."
