A man was taken into custody by the police in New York City after he was accused of jumping into the reflecting pool at the 9/11 Memorial, according to authorities.
Emergency medical services were called to the scene, and the man, who was described as "apparently emotionally disturbed," was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to his left leg and back.
He has been charged with the incident. Security guards were later seen putting up chains around the pool to prevent further incidents.
