Yet another UAW strike has initiated, and this time it's making its presence felt within the trucking industry. As the new week began, specifically on Monday morning, more than 4,000 employees at Mack Trucks decided to embark on a strike, their decision stemming from the rejection of the company's five-year contract offer.

Union representatives had managed to secure a tentative agreement just last week, which notably encompassed an enticing 19% wage increase. However, this promising proposition faced rejection by a significant majority, with 73% of the union's members voting against it.

As a result of this ongoing strike, a grand total of 30,000 UAW members spread across 22 states have now joined the picket lines in solidarity.
