A "cybersecurity issue" that resulted in hundreds of visitors on the renowned Las Vegas strip being locked out of their hotel rooms has been found, according to MGM Resorts International.

There have been reports that the Aria, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, and Bellagio no longer accepted the patrons' digital keys.

A few of the business's casinos' slot machines stopped working, and company emails were affected.

Customers were unable to charge expenses to their rooms at many restaurants, forcing them to accept only cash payments.

The business has since clarified, "Promptly after detecting the issue, we quickly began an investigation with assistance from leading external cybersecurity experts. We also notified law enforcement and took prompt action to protect our systems and data, including shutting down certain systems. Our investigation is ongoing, and we are working diligently to determine the nature and scope of the matter."
