Los Angeles and Orange County Honor the Memory of 9/11

Throughout Los Angeles County on Monday, various events are scheduled to mark the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, including a ceremony at the Frank Hotchkin Memorial Training Centre of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The Dodger Stadium ceremony at 9 a.m. will include bagpipers, a helicopter flyover by the LAFD Air Operations Section, and "10-Bells" being rung by Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and LAPD Chief Michel Moore. 

In Orange County, specifically in Irvine, the Orange County Fire Authority has arranged a ceremony to take place at 8:30 a.m. It will include guest speakers, an honor guard, a bell-ringing ceremony, and a memorial dedicated to the victims of the 9/11 tragedy.

At 11 a.m., the annual ceremony to commemorate those who lost their lives will take place at the Nixon Presidential Library & Museum in Yorba Linda.

Near the Oso Creek Trailhead Memorial flagpole, there will be a Patriot's Day event with speakers and a candlelight remembrance at 6 p.m., located in the lower parking lot of the Potocki Centre of the Arts.

Another Patriots Day celebration is planned for 6 p.m. at Pier Plaza in Huntington Beach.

Additionally, the Church of Grace in Yorba Linda will host a community remembrance event at 7 p.m.
