Hunter Biden is set to be indicted on gun charges this month, per the Department of Justice.

Special counsel David Weiss said in a document filed in the US District Court for the District of Delaware, “The Speedy Trial Act requires that the Government obtain the return of an indictment by a grand jury by Friday, September 29, 2023, at the earliest. The Government intends to seek the return of an indictment in this case before that date.”

Biden’s lawyers say he’s been following the conditions of a diversion agreement that was initially reached with federal prosecutors to avoid a felony gun charge. The terms of the diversion agreement included Biden remaining sober and submitting to drug testing for two years.

In addition, he would also have to avoid committing other crimes during that two-year period and agree never to own a firearm again.
