NY Times: Can the World Make an Electric Car Battery Without China?

The answer is a resounding NO.

China is far ahead of the world in many ways and the electric car battery leads the way.

The NY Times did a fantastic job revealing how China leads the way and how the US is far behind. The report states, “China controls 41 percent of the world’s cobalt mining, and the most mining for lithium, which carries a battery’s electric charge.”

John & Ken talked about how China leads the way in production, mining and research while US automakers are hemorrhaging money on EV's.
