Adidas CEO Bjorn Gulden has spoken out in regards to the loss of the popular brand, Yeezy and how it has affected the company financially when they parted ways with entrepreneur Kanye West over his several offensive and antisemitic comments about the jewish community.
- The German manufacturer of athletic shoes, apparel and sporting goods “is still trying to figure out what to do with the $1.3 billion worth of merchandise that's been sitting idle since the company ended its partnership with [controversial rapper].”
- Adidas quarterly report reflected a $441 million loss in sales.
- Adidas stated that the brand does not stand with any antisemitism and that his comments were "unacceptable, hateful and dangerous" and "violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness."
- Gulden, said the company is "getting closer and closer to making a decision on what do to with all [the inventory they have] and that "options are narrowing."
