SOUTH EL MONTE (CNS) - A fight between two students Wednesday at South El Monte High School left one teen with at least one stab wound and the other with an unspecified injury, authorities said.
The boys, one 16 and the other 17, were involved in an ongoing dispute that led to the fight about 10:30 a.m. at the campus in the 1000 block of Durfee Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
Both teens were transported for hospital treatment in unknown condition.
The school was reportedly placed on a lockdown as a precaution, and the investigation was continuing.
