Gov. Gavin Newsom is denying all rumors that he would run against President Biden for the Democratic candidacy in 2024, Politico reported.
In the past five years, Newsom has been a leading figure within the Democratic Party. He has won three elections in the Golden State, including fending off a significant recall attempt. Newsom reportedly told Politico on the night of the midterm elections that he would not aim to cause any rifts within the party, despite the fact that many believe he is a great potential alternative for the 80-year-old Biden.
"I’ve told everyone in the White House, from the chief of staff to the first lady," he said, saying his message is "I’m all in, count me in" on Biden's re-election bid.
