A World Cup reporter from Argentina was allegedly robbed in the middle of a live report!
Dominique Metzger of Todo Noticias network says someone stole her wallet while she was interviewing fans ahead of Sunday's opening World Cup match.
However, she says she didn't notice at the time because of the crowd and all of the noise...
Metzger says police eventually told her they would use security cameras and facial recognition technology to help find the culprit.
She also says authorities told her she would be able to choose the thief's punishment -- five years in prison or deportation...
“They told me, ‘What do you want justice to do about this? We will find the wallet... We have cameras everywhere, high-tech cameras and we will find the thief with face detection technology. What do you want justice system to do to them when they are found?’
But she told them "I just want my wallet back, I won't be making the decision for the justice system".
