- An old woman in Florida has died after she was attacked by a pair of alligators.
- It happened Friday at an Englewood golf course, where witnesses reported seeing the woman fall into a pond, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office. After noticing she was "struggling to stay afloat," witnesses began rushing over to help her -- only to see two alligators converge on her, sheriff's officials say. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The gators -- which have since been removed by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission -- measured nearly eight and nine feet long, according to Commission officials.
