In the Coachella Valley, a hockey coach is expanding their staff with a first female hockey coach ever.
- Jessica Campbell will be the American Hockey League's first-ever female assistant coach.
- "I think that's what's most exciting about the opportunity, is the visibility for young girls and boys, to be honest, to be able to see it. And now they can believe in it," Campbell said. "I never saw a female coach, so I never dreamt of being a coach."
- Campbell once made a living playing hockey.
- She won the Clarkson Cup at the Canadian Women's Hockey Championship and represented Canada in the 2015 World Women's Championship of the International Ice Hockey Federation.
