U.S. Dropping Requirement For COVID-19 Testing on International Travelers

The White House is dropping COVID-19 testing requirements for international travelers entering the U.S.

  • Currently, travelers are required to show proof of a negative COVID test before boarding a flight into the U.S.  
  • Airlines have urged the Biden administration to drop the requirement, claiming it hurts demand for international travel.
  • The new rules go into effect on Sunday. They will be reviewed by the CDC after 90 days.
