The mother of the 18-year-old who killed 19 children and two teachers at a Texas elementary school has asked the public to... forgive her and her son.
Speaking to Televisa TV in Spanish, Adriana Martinez openly wept as she said, "Forgive me, forgive my son."
She went on to say, "I have no words to say. I don’t know what he was thinking. He had his reasons for doing what he did. Please don’t judge him. I only want the innocent children who died to forgive me."
On Tuesday, Ramos shot his grandmother in the face before going to Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, located between San Antonio and the Mexico border. Once inside, he shot dead 21 people and injured 17 others before a federal agent killed him.
Police still haven't determined a motive for the massacre.
