In a recent interview with the SF Chronicle, California Governor Gavin Newsom was very candid about having no interest in running for President in 2024.

The CA Governor discussed with the SF Chronicle editorial board on Thursday about his intentions for the upcoming next few years and who he hopes becomes president of the United States after Joe Biden.

While discussing the 2024 Presidential Election, Newsom stated that he has "sub-zero interest" in a presidential run during that time. He said:

“Yeah, I mean, I have sub-zero interest,”
Newsom continued by saying,
“It's not even on my radar.”

Newsom is currently serving as the Governor of California and is running for re-election to a second term as Governor. If he wins the next election, he would be Governor of California until 2026.

During his interview with the SF Chronicle, Newsom was open about his support for current VP Kamala Harris. He stated that he and Harris support one another. Newsom said that he hopes Harris becomes the next President of the United States after Joe Biden.

“I'm hopeful that she's the next president of the United States,”

Though Newsom said that running for President in 2024 is off his radar, it is likely that he will eventually run for President of the United States in the future.
