The world's biggest airshow, the Pacific Airshow, is headed to Australia.

The Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is set to take-off over Australia's iconic Surfers Paradise Beach in Queensland in August 2023.

Officials from the Pacific Airshow say that the jaw-dropping spectacle will become a hallmark of Australia's newest and biggest entertainment extravaganza.

Every year, since its 2016 inauguration, more than three million people have visited California's famous Huntington Beach for the airshow.

The Pacific Airshow, which is now the biggest Airshow in the United States, features an aviation line-up including performances by the US Air Force Thunderbirds, US Navy Blue Angels, UK Royal Air Force Red Arrows, Canadian Forces Snowbirds, and many of the world’s finest civilian performers.

Now, the event is expanding with what will become Australia's biggest ever airshow.

“There has never been an air event of this scale staged anywhere in Australia. That’s why the Gold Coast is famous for fun – in the air and on the ground,’’ said Gold Coast Mayor Tom Tate. “This event underscores our commitment to attracting the very best in global entertainment for our residents, visitors and businesses.”

Officials say that this event will become annual in the land down under and the event will feature the finest aerobatic teams and performs around the world.

The five-year partnership is anticipated to have a great economic impact as well. Everything from hotels, restaurants, and retail is expected to see growth from the event.

One of the most exciting facts is that Matt Hall, one of Australia's most recognizable aviators, Air Race world champion and former Royal Australian Air Force top gun fighter pilot, has signed on as the event’s first ambassador.

Pacific Airshow Gold Coast is being organized by Code Four, which is the marketing and events company behind the hugely popular Pacific Airshow Huntington Beach.
