Over the weekend U2’s Bono and The Edge held a surprise concert in a Kyiv subway station. Performing classics like "Angel of Harlem" and "With or Without You", and a sing-a-long of "Stand By Me" with Ukrainian soldiers.
“President Zelensky invited us to perform in Kyiv as a show of solidarity with the Ukrainian people and so that’s what we’ve come to do,” tweeted the band. The duo performed on the central Kyiv subway platform as Ukraine’s transit stations have turned in to a bomb shelter for residents to hide from Russian attacks. Check out the performance below.
