Someone now owns a piece of baseball history after spending over $1 million!

  • The bat Jackie Robinson used at the 1949 All-Star Game fetched $1.08 million at auction on Saturday.
  • A letter of authenticity from Robinson's wife Rachel also came with the bat, reading, “The bat has been in the Robinson family archives since the day it was first used by Jackie.” 
  • 2022 marked the 75th anniversary of Robinson's MLB debut.
