NASA's powerful new space telescope is finally in focus.
- The James Webb Space Telescope has completed its seven-stage alignment process, four months after launching into space on Christmas Day last year.
- That doesn't mean the telescope is ready to go just yet - the device now begins a process called 'science instrument commissioning', which will take a couple more months before it can be used for research.
- Once it's finally operational, the Webb Telescope will be the most powerful space observation tool ever made.
