We all know the female orgasm is just a little bit more complicated than the male orgasm. Dr. Wendy Walsh likes to say "Men are a microwave, and women are a crockpot." We take a little bit more work. Why did women evolve to have orgasms?

A philosopher of biology, Dr. Elisabeth Lloyd, is faculty scholar at the Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction at Indiana University. Her 2005 Book “The Case of the Female Orgasm” exposed an anti-scientific biases in most of the previous explanations of female orgasm. She tells us all about it.
